Ross Highlights

A diverse group of students of various ages are sitting on a polished wooden floor in a gymnasium.

Mrs. Hunter's Class won the District Amira Challenge!

They are the top class in 5th grade in the entire district! Congrats to them for their hard work and dedication. We're so proud of them.

Teacher Appreciation Week LOADING

May 4-8 is Teacher Appreciation Week, when we celebrate all our Ross Staff. We are all teaching students at Ross all day, no matter our jobs, and we're ready to celebrate our Rossome staff this week.

Thanks to all those who have signed up to help make this week special. Check ParentSquare for the sign ups still needed.

ISAT Testing--CHECK!

Thanks for sending students to school ready! They worked so hard to do their best, and we are so proud of them.

Our results are starting to return, and we're so pleased with the growth in our kids! They've worked so hard and it's showing.

Girls on the Run 5K is tomorrow!

Wish our girls luck as they compete to get their personal best times.

Golden Spoon Awards

Classes are working hard to earn Golden Spoons in the cafeteria. Each time a class gets 5 5-star days in the cafeteria, they earn a new Golden Spoon to add to their bouquet. Thanks for all the parent donations of spoons, spatulas, and other old kitchen utensils--keep them coming!

This week's Golden Spoon classes are:
  • Mrs. Johnson
  • Mrs. Angle
  • Mrs. Harding
  • Mrs. Gambill
  • Mrs. Smith
  • Mrs. Hassel
  • Mrs. McKernan

Family Event Calendar

A calendar for May 2026 titled 'Innovation' displays scheduled events and activities.

End-of-Year Celebrations

We're looking forward to our end-of-year celebrations with students!

Mark your calendars Field Day on May 26. We'll be reaching out for volunteers for that soon. During Field Day, we do our Awards Ceremony as well. Invites will go home to families of students who are receiving an award so you can join us if you'd like.

On March 28, 4th graders participate in Wagons Ho. 5th graders have their Graduation Dance during afternoon recess. It's a great time for both grade levels--unique and special to each.

On March 29, the last day of school, we end the day with a Yearbook Signing Party with the whole school.

Sometime that week, teachers will also have class celebrations to send our students off to summer in style. Watch for chances to volunteer coming soon from teachers for that.

Attendance Matters

Attendance matters information about how missing days of school adds up over time.

Cell phones and smart watches

ross is a learning zone

Ross is a Learning Zone!

Ross is a learning zone. We want to have uninterrupted instruction time and we want kids to be able to play with each other.

For that reason, we have any students with cell phones leave them in their backpacks during the school day (except for medical uses). Smart watches can be used as watches or tools (example: the calculator function), but not as a cell phone (example: texting).

If a student is using their phone or smart watch while on campus, we have them bring it to the office for the rest of the day. If they do it a second time, we have them bring it to the office and keep it there for a parent to pick up.

Please help us protect instruction and social interaction time for our Rossome kids!

Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders

An image with the word 'Important' and drop-off/pick-up reminders.

Drop Off/ Pick Up Reminders

  • Safety of your child(ren) is our priority. Please pick up and drop off your child in the designated areas.
  • Be patient, especially as we start the school year and the pick/up drop off routines are new to many families. We will have staff to support you and others outside.
  • No drop off/pick up in the bus lane.
  • Drop off may begin no earlier than 8:30am.
  • Pick up line will be along School Avenue from the south of the school to the entry into the parking lot. Do not park and leave your car along School Avenue from 3:00-3:45pm when school pick up is done.
  • If you need to park for pick up, please park on School Avenue to the north of the parking lot entrance so you don't block the pick up line.
  • Pull forward as far as you can. At the end of the day, students will be waiting for your car to arrive near the front of the line to load in your car.
  • Use designated cross walks to access the parking lot or playgrounds.
  • Call the office by 2:00pm if there will be a change in the way your child will normally go home so the teacher can be made aware.
