Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Bulen won Ross Teacher of the Year! This award is chosen through nominations by our staff members.

Mrs. Bulen brings the joy and energy to Ross every day. We're so grateful to have her here!

Classified Staff of the Year

Mrs. Godfrey was selected by colleague nomination as our Classified Staff of the Year.

Mrs. Godfrey does a little of everything at Ross, and she grows and learns more each day. She helps kids read, learn Math, and have good experiences during lunch. We love her!

Friend of Education--Lisa Honey

Ross's Friend of Education this year is Lisa Honey. She's been a regular part of Ross Elementary as a volunteer and substitute this last year, filling in for everything we could ever ask and sharing her heart and skills with our students. We love Lisa Honey!

End-of-Year Celebrations

We're looking forward to our end-of-year celebrations with students!

Mark your calendars Field Day on May 26. We'll be reaching out for volunteers for that soon. During Field Day, we do our Awards Ceremony as well. Invites will go home to families of students who are receiving an award so you can join us if you'd like.

On May 28, 4th graders participate in Wagons Ho. 5th graders have their Graduation Dance during afternoon recess. It's a great time for both grade levels--unique and special to each.

On May 29, the last day of school, we end the day with a Yearbook Signing Party with the whole school.

Sometime that week, teachers will also have class celebrations to send our students off to summer in style. Watch for chances to volunteer coming soon from teachers for that.

Attendance Matters

Attendance matters information about how missing days of school adds up over time.

Cell phones and smart watches

ross is a learning zone

Ross is a Learning Zone!

Ross is a learning zone. We want to have uninterrupted instruction time and we want kids to be able to play with each other.

For that reason, we have any students with cell phones leave them in their backpacks during the school day (except for medical uses). Smart watches can be used as watches or tools (example: the calculator function), but not as a cell phone (example: texting).

If a student is using their phone or smart watch while on campus, we have them bring it to the office for the rest of the day. If they do it a second time, we have them bring it to the office and keep it there for a parent to pick up.

Please help us protect instruction and social interaction time for our Rossome kids!

Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders

An image with the word 'Important' and drop-off/pick-up reminders.

Drop Off/ Pick Up Reminders

  • Safety of your child(ren) is our priority. Please pick up and drop off your child in the designated areas.
  • Be patient, especially as we start the school year and the pick/up drop off routines are new to many families. We will have staff to support you and others outside.
  • No drop off/pick up in the bus lane.
  • Drop off may begin no earlier than 8:30am.
  • Pick up line will be along School Avenue from the south of the school to the entry into the parking lot. Do not park and leave your car along School Avenue from 3:00-3:45pm when school pick up is done.
  • If you need to park for pick up, please park on School Avenue to the north of the parking lot entrance so you don't block the pick up line.
  • Pull forward as far as you can. At the end of the day, students will be waiting for your car to arrive near the front of the line to load in your car.
  • Use designated cross walks to access the parking lot or playgrounds.
  • Call the office by 2:00pm if there will be a change in the way your child will normally go home so the teacher can be made aware.
