Ross Highlights

Field Day on Tuesday

Field Day is Tuesday afternoon!

Students will each wear their matching class shirts on Tuesday. Some teachers are sending those home with kids so if your child has a shirt in their backpack, make sure they wear it on Tuesday. Most teachers are keeping shirts at school for students to put on during Field Day.

Students are able to keep their shirts after as a souvenir of their great day in the sun! PTA purchased the shirts for us--thank you, PTA.

Special thanks to all the work put in by Mrs. Bulen to make this day possible--it'll be our best Field Day EVER!

Also, thanks to all those who volunteered to come and help. We'll see you on Tuesday afternoon for a great day.

Final I-Ready Rewards and Golden Spoon Awards on Tuesday

We're giving our our final I-Ready Punch Card awards Tuesday morning to all students who've finished a punch card this month. It's going to be about 200 of our 300 students--we're so proud of them!

We're also giving the classes who earned 10 Golden Spoons or more in 3rd trimesteran ice cream party on Tuesday right after lunch. We'll post pictures next week.

Cell phones and smart watches

ross is a learning zone

Ross is a Learning Zone!

Ross is a learning zone. We want to have uninterrupted instruction time and we want kids to be able to play with each other.

For that reason, we have any students with cell phones leave them in their backpacks during the school day (except for medical uses). Smart watches can be used as watches or tools (example: the calculator function), but not as a cell phone (example: texting).

If a student is using their phone or smart watch while on campus, we have them bring it to the office for the rest of the day. If they do it a second time, we have them bring it to the office and keep it there for a parent to pick up.

Please help us protect instruction and social interaction time for our Rossome kids!

Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders

An image with the word 'Important' and drop-off/pick-up reminders.

Drop Off/ Pick Up Reminders

  • Safety of your child(ren) is our priority. Please pick up and drop off your child in the designated areas.
  • Be patient, especially as we start the school year and the pick/up drop off routines are new to many families. We will have staff to support you and others outside.
  • No drop off/pick up in the bus lane.
  • Drop off may begin no earlier than 8:30am.
  • Pick up line will be along School Avenue from the south of the school to the entry into the parking lot. Do not park and leave your car along School Avenue from 3:00-3:45pm when school pick up is done.
  • If you need to park for pick up, please park on School Avenue to the north of the parking lot entrance so you don't block the pick up line.
  • Pull forward as far as you can. At the end of the day, students will be waiting for your car to arrive near the front of the line to load in your car.
  • Use designated cross walks to access the parking lot or playgrounds.
  • Call the office by 2:00pm if there will be a change in the way your child will normally go home so the teacher can be made aware.
